Riverside Retreat Thompson's Track is home to two separate wooden chalets, Tranquility and Serenity, nestled amongst nature on opposite sides of our lower grounds.
Our chalets are available to hire for overnight stays, and are perfect for romantic getaways.

Chalet Information
Our two chalets, Serenity and Tranquility, each accomodate up to two people. Each chalet is equipped with a queen bed, outdoor French bath, small fireplace, private bathroom, and barbeque for you to leisurely cook your breakfast in the morning.
We charge $350 per chalet, per night. This includes a full breakfast.
The amenities in each chalet are almost identical, and a full list can be found to the side. If you require any information not provided, please feel free to get in touch.

Both chalets are positioned on our lower grounds with plenty of room for recreational activities, and amazing picnic spots.
They are just a a 2 minute walk from the river, swimming hole, and forest walk, and a 5 minute walk from the lodge.
Use of the lodge is included in your stay.
Chalet Themes
When you book a chalet, you will have a choice between Serenity or Tranqulitiy. Whilst amenities are almost identical, our chalets differ by theme.
Tranquility
Tranquility Chalet is set amongst beautiful gardens with wallpaper and bedding suggesting a floral theme. The tall trees surrounding this chalet make it feel slightly more secluded, and it has a nearby entrance to the swimming hole and forest walk along the river.
Lodge & Other Amenities
Your stay includes access to our lodge and lower grounds.
The lodge hosts a library, fireplace, tea facilities, and lounge spaces for you to relax in.
The lodge is open until 10pm each day, and reopens at 8am the following morning.
The lower grounds are home to lush parks and gardens, a forest walk by the river, and a private swimming hole.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the chalets powered?
The chalets have been renovated and now have electricity. We have added lights to the bedroom and bathrooms, and you can now fill the outdoor baths with heated tap water instead of with staff assistance. We hope that this self-service model will grant you increased privacy during your stay with us.
If you prefer the old ambience of the unpowered chalets, we have provided firewood for the fireplace.
Is there internet? And cell reception?
Guest WIFI is available at the lodge. Reception is available at the top of the property.
What is the breakfast?
Breakfast is provided in the small fridge of your chalet and is available for you to cook in your own time. Our breakfasts typically include eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms, onion, and bread. The exact ingredients are subject to change.
